Short Term Medical Insurance is an inexpensive alternative to full coverage but has some important limitations. As the title suggests, it is intended to be for a short term period. It is important to note that coverage does not include pre-existing conditions and preventive care. Coverage is available for up to 185 days. At that point, you can only apply once more and pre-existing conditions will not be covered.
